Enjoy these amazing all-inclusive properties in Cancun, Mexico
Cancun, Mexico offers many resorts including some amazing all-inclusive properties along the beach. I have spent two weeks in Cancun and stayed at a different Solaris all-inclusive property both times. These are my recommendations for your stay in Cancun based on my experiences.
Enjoy an all-inclusive stay in Cancun at one of the multiple Solaris properties
GR Solaris Caribe
On my first visit to Cancun, Mexico I stayed at the GR Solaris Caribe. This was a beautiful property that features open-air hallways and stunning white buildings with red roofs. This property also has a couple delicious restaurants that are reservation only as well as multiple bars where you can grab a beer or a cocktail. The resort is also located on the beach, so it is very easy to go take a dip in the ocean or play a match of beach volleyball on the volleyball court located behind the resort.
My visit to GR Solaris Caribe was in early September and coincided with sea turtle nesting season. This made for an incredibly memorable experience. Many of the baby sea turtles were hatching at night. The lights of the resorts along the beach confuse the turtles though, so they end up heading towards the resorts instead of towards the moon and out to sea. My siblings, brother-in-law, and I were able to grab over 100 turtles that had run into the walls of the resorts and return them to the ocean to hopefully live out their lives in their natural environment.
Royal Solaris Cancun
On my second visit to Cancun, I stayed at Royal Solaris Cancun. This property is actually located right next to the GR Solaris Caribe. The pool at this property is also where I spent most of my time on both trips to Cancun since it has a lively atmosphere and multiple different games that you can play with the resort staff. They also have pool yoga and Latin dance classes for those that are interested. The hotel also has a buffet, a beachside restaurant, a gym, a theater, and an entertainment area where live music, dancing, and karaoke are held several nights a week.
You can also book snorkeling, scuba diving, and a submarine tour from the Aquaworld tour center that is located right next to the swimming pool. There is also a concierge inside the resort that can help you book other tours like ATV tours, zip-line tours, Myan ruin tours, and more. These booking centers make scheduling tours convenient right from the resort property. If you prefer to book your activities in advance, you can see what activities are available near Cancun here.
My Recommendations
If you are looking for an all-inclusive stay in Cancun, Mexico either of these properties are great options. GR Solaris Caribe provides a more intimate setting and has open air hallways. Royal Solaris Cancun feels like more of your standard type of high-rise hotel, but it is the property where more entertainment options are available. Both properties provide immediate access to the beach, and you can grab a city bus from in front of either resort to visit downtown Cancun. I personally like the cozy atmosphere of GR Solaris Caribe for rooms but enjoy walking over to Royal Solaris Cancun for the entertainment, pool activities, and liveliness. Whichever way you choose, you will likely have a great stay at either property.
